This was not the end, though, as batting legend Sunil Gavaskar, a member of the commentary team, also jumped on board and raced over to Dhoni to receive his signature on his shirt. The two then hugged each other.

The freebie may have occurred because it was CSK's final league home game, but few people saw it as an indication that it was Dhoni's last game in the lucrative league. Mohammad Kaif, a former Indian batter, expressed a similar sentiment on the Star Sports program Cricket Live, saying: "I think MSD has given enough signals that this is his last IPL. He likes to keep people guessing, and that's just how he is. However, I have a feeling that Dhoni won't participate in the IPL in the upcoming season.

He also discussed the positive interaction between Gavaskar and Dhoni. "Never have we witnessed Sunny sir get an autograph from another cricket player. Sunil Gavaskar, a legend, receiving an autograph from MS Dhoni and having it placed on his shirt, "just tells the greatness of MS Dhoni," he continued.

CSK had a fantastic chance to clinch a spot in the play-offs, but their advancement to the next round has been halted by the loss to KKR. However, they would have a better chance of making it to the last four if they win against the Delhi Capitals in their upcoming game. They have 15 points from 13 games, which puts them in second position right now.
